Sibling is an indie-pop band, based in Venice Beach, California. They formed in late 2014 in Toronto, Canada, out of a mutual interest in song writing between Bryan Osuszek and Elodie Tomlinson. The group independently released its first single “Easy” on April 27, 2015. The single received positive, underground attention upon its release. It was featured on many taste-making blogs and music publications, as well as receiving non-commercial radio airplay in both the United States and UK.
Sibling’s work is best describe as a balance of light and dark, as a spirit that is one part sun soaked and carefree and another part introspective and dark. To heighten this, their sound is equally a balance of organic and electronics sounds. With a focus on melody and structure, Sibling delivers well-crafted songs, carried by break-beats amid a backdrop of sonic experimentation.
In early 2016, Sibling travelled to Park City, Utah for a string of dates at the Sundance Film Festival, playing the ASCAP Music Cafe and sharing the stage with artists like Sting, Lissie, Madisen Ward and the Mama Bear, and Other Lives. Sibling has just completed work on their debut EP, which was recorded between LA, Toronto and Park City. It will see release in 2016.
