Brothers Devin and Derek Wilson formed Bravestation with childhood friend Jeremy Rossetti in the City of the 1000 Islands before relocating to Toronto in 2009. Their name is merged from the titles of Aldous Huxley’s dystopian novel Brave New World and Robert J. Hasting’s inspirational essay The Station.
With influences ranging from 80s new wave to electronic dance music, post-punk and rock, the band channels sounds from the past and visions of the future to create their own version of dream-like pop.
The group’s label debut EP V on Culvert Music in 2015 featured breakout single Actors. The self-produced track received heavy nationwide rotation at Canadian Alternative Radio and broke the Mediabase top 100 while reaching #27 on Hype Machine and #16 on CBC Radio 3’s Top 30 chart. Video placement followed on mtv.com, vh1.com, Much Music and Vice/Noisey.
This year Bravestation are poised to expand upon that success starting with the release of their new single Amadeus in Feb 2016 from their forthcoming release VI.
