AlphaCub, the brainchild of Toronto-via- Halifax solo artist Marc-Antoine Robertson, has joined forces with Toronto-based producer 10Digits for a remix of his new single, “Can’t Stand Still.” The track originally appeared on Alphacub’s self-titled debut EP in 2016 and is currently breaking into the top 40 on Canada’s Alternative Charts, but the remix takes its wide-appealing sound even further as 10Digits delivers a summery, half-speed stomper. It’s fitting for 10Digits to be behind the flip as he’s already found himself on Spotify’s Viral charts, a #1 slot on YouTube’s trending video pages, and a single in “Fool For Love” that’s garnered over one million views.
In regards to the remix, AlphaCub said, “I’ve always wanted to know how someone else interprets my music. It’s a special medium of art that can be altered and reimagined and that’s incredibly appealing to me.” As for 10Digits, he noted, “I knew the second I heard those vocals, I could do something that could take it to the radio worldwide including the clubs.”
10Digits’ “Can’t Stand Still” remix drops April 14th.
