In regards to “Strawberry Moon”, Douris stated: I’ve spent a lot of time listening to other people (mostly men) tell me how I should be making music. When I’m feeling vulnerable (which is a lot of the time) those voices can get into my head and I can lose sight of what I actually want to do. This song is about telling those voices to back off.
